Personality:

Ever since Yuuki was a child, she had always been running around, full of energy. It was difficult to discern that such an energetic child was infected with a disease. When Yuuki was in the fourth grade, her immune system collapsed and she was hospitalized for the remaining years of her life. Since she could no longer reach the real world, she immersed herself in the world of Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online games, or VRMMORPG for short. Even though she knew of her deteriorating condition in the real world, she always put on a natural smile as she lived in the virtual world. Knowing that she had little time to live, she didn't care if anyone hated her, as long as she left an impression on others that would allow them to remember her.

Through winning consecutive duels, Yuuki gained popularity, growing to become the strongest swordsman in Alfheim Online and earning the title of "Absolute Sword" from fellow players. With a title like "Absolute Sword", most would probably expect find a large, burly, frightening, heavily-armored man behind that kind of name. Yuuki Konno clearly doesn't match the description. She's slender and petite, ordinarily wearing an innocent smile across her face and speaking in an adorably high voice. Outside of combat, she's hardly frightening. She's sociable and respectful towards others, even willing to shake the hands of her opponents. She's likely to strike up a good-nature exchange with others and worry about leaving people behind when it seems like they're in danger. Being easy to befriend, she's unafraid to ease into using informal language. If she feels close enough to someone, she won't restrain herself to pounce and hug that person out of joy. Hardly does Yuuki ever hold any feelings of anger or resentment. When she does have feelings of disappointment, she's still thankful for doing her best. Even when it seems her spirits are low, she cheers up by soaking up a few words of encouragement.

Along with Yuuki's cheerful disposition, she's highly enthusiastic in tackling her goals. She's doesn't let fatigue show, even after fighting battle after battle. She has a strong will to keep on letting out an excited cheer to press forward. Sometimes her exhilaration gets her carried away, sending her flying off ahead of everyone else. After she decided that Asuna was the strong person she had been searching for, she wasted no time in dragging her off to introduce her to her guild, without informing of the situation or asking for her name. The moment she realizes how much she gets caught up in the moment, she embarrassingly laughs off her mistakes.

Although mostly sociable and honest, she'll grow suspiciously quiet when it seems the subject will force her to bring up her illness. She stammers and struggles on how to put her secret into words. Her less spirited responses and anxious look in her eyes make it obvious to others when there's something she doesn't want to talk about. Sometimes, she needs her friend, Shiune, to step in to guide the conversation into another direction. Yuuki tries to keep her disease a secret, but gives her full story to those who relentlessly pursue her for answers. Once her secret's out, she fears growing closer to others.

She's considered one of the most powerful swordsmen in her game, able to fare exceptionally well against one-on-one duels and small mobs. Her movements are fast and she possesses a quick reaction speed. No matter how great her strength is though, she can't take on being largely outnumbered from the front and back or an end stage boss on her own. At most, she's likely only able to stall a raid for a good few minutes before going down or taking the chance to escape. While she may be strong and fast, most often she requires direction. Her attacks mostly take on a direct approach, leaving her open to be taken by surprise. It wasn't without the more experienced Asuna's guidance that Yuuki and her guild were able to clear dungeons by engaging in only a few battles and avoiding all traps. It was also Asuna who had to point out that Yuuki and her friends were being spied on as they approached a boss room. Without instruction, her tasks are either unsuccessful or not as smoothly accomplished as she'd want them to be.

Abilities:

• Flight - She's a large, human-sized fairy. Unlike your typical fairy though, she can make her wings disappear and reappear upon will.
• High speed reaction
• Swordsmanship (specifically in one-handed swords)
• Various Original Sword Skills, which are combo attacks. Yuuki is seen in canon using two - Mother's Rosario (11-hit combo), Vertical Square (4-hit combo)
• Imp abilities - Dark Magic, Underground Flight, Wall Run, and Night Vision
